MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Brazil's G1 news website reported Monday, citing statistics, that 11 workers died between 2013 and 2016 on the construction sites of sport, transport and cultural infrastructure that should be prepared for the upcoming Olympics.
The news portal reported that three workers died on the subway line construction site, when incidents at the other sites, mentioned in the statistics, had claimed the lives of fewer people.
Rio de Janeiro will host the Summer Olympic Games on August 5-21, 2016. Brazil will become the first South American nation to host the competition.
