MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said Wednesday that unprecedented information war is being carried out against Russia.
"Unprecedented and severe information war is being carried out against Russia. The statements about a threat posed by Moscow to the European nations, about necessity of military deterrence of our country are announced," Shoigu said at the fifth Moscow Conference on International Security.
He refuted the abovementioned statements and added that the thesis of Russia approaching 'NATO's doorstep' that was used to justify NATO activities near Russian borders was absurd.
