Saint Petersburg’s Palace Square held the first rehearsal of the Victory Day Parade on Tuesday. Another five rehearsals will have taken place before May 9, when Russia will celebrate its most cherished holiday – the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War.
The first rehearsal in Saint Petersburg occurred without military vehicles. However, it featured a GAZ Tigr car which will be used by the Western Military District commander on May 9.
The final rehearsal of the Saint Petersburg parade is slated for May 9.
