ATHENS (Sputnik) — The Greek Foreign Ministry is currently undergoing major changes.
"These changes are not connected with the political situation, but were conceived a long time," the source told RIA Novosti, adding that the decision on replacements was approved in mid-March.
Andreas Friganas, the deputy chief of Greek Embassy in Berlin, is expected to replace Danai-Magdalini Koumanakou as the country's ambassador to Moscow.
According to the source, ambassadors to the United States, Turkey, China, Ukraine, Israel, and many other countries are also expected to be replaced.
