MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The MCIS focused on global security and the fight against terrorism, bringing together over 500 participants, including military officials and experts from over 80 countries.
"I think, that Russia is a major player in an international fight against terrorism. All the world should unite against a common threat, and it is obvious now that Russia is fighting terrorism globally," Alkhalifa said.
The delegation head called Bahrain's participation in the Moscow Conference a "great opportunity."
"It is a very important opportunity which would lead to more peace and more security in the world," he added.
The two-day conference was organized by the Russian Defense Ministry.
