1. The French often put butter or jam on top of the baguette and then dip the whole thing directly into their tea or coffee. This might not look pleasant to some, as the whole process can be little messy, leaving crumbs in a coffee cup.
2. When you've finished your meal, don't rush to put the plate into the dishwasher right away. Instead, try doing what the French do — mop up the plate using the baguette. After that you can finish up that piece of baguette.
3. Some of you have probably seen kids putting a bit of chocolate spread on top of a piece of bread. The French do the same thing, but take the whole bread-spreading-with-chocolate to the next level, making a full-on baguette and chocolate combo. Tres Delicieux!
4. There are certain things that people eat with a piece of bread, such as a bowl of soup or maybe a sandwich of some sort. Well, things are quite different when one's sitting at a table with the French. They would eat the baguette absolutely with everything, even other bread-based dishes.
5. Got some nice cheese in the fridge? Forget about crackers, do like the French — that's right, stuff your baguette with cheese and you'll have the perfect baguette — crunchy on the outside and soft and cheesy on the inside.
