MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Restriction on fuel consumption for the Formula One Championship will be increased from 100 kg (220 lb) to 105 kg (231 lb) in 2017, media reported Saturday.
The decision was approved by all teams participating in the Formula One, Motorsport.com online media outlet said citing International Automobile Federation (FIA).
According to the outlet, the decision was made due to the possibility that new models of racing cars will consume more fuel in 2017.
