MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The death toll in a residential building collapse in Kenya’s capital Nairobi rose to 7, while over 120 people have been rescued, local media reported Saturday.

According to the KTN News television channel, Kenya Red Cross Society rescue teams continue to work at the cite.
A 6-storey building, which was home to some 150 families, collapsed in Huruma estate in the northeast of Nairobi on Friday evening. The collapse occurred following heavy rain and thunderstorms that hit Nairobi earlier that day.
According to earlier media reported, 29 people were taken to the Kenyatta National Hospital following the accident, while 3 persons were confirmed dead at the time.
