MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The number of victims in Sunday’s explosions in southern Iraq has climbed to 38, local media reported, citing a source in police.
Earlier in the day, two car bombs detonated in the mostly Shiite-populated Samawah city.
"The explosions claimed the lives of 38 people, another 86 were injured," the Alsumaria broadcaster quoted the source as saying.
The Daesh terrorist group, which is outlawed by many countries including Russia and the United States, claimed responsibility for the attacks.
