MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Kerry is also set to meet Jordanian and Saudi Foreign Ministers Nasser Judeh and Adel Jubeir on Sunday and Monday respectively. All meeting will be held without presence of journalists.
The US State Department said in a Saturday statement that during his visit Kerry will review the ongoing cessation of hostilities in Syria as well as discuss other Syrian issues.
The ceasefire in Syria, worked out by Russia and the United States, took effect on February 27, but does not include groups that have been designated as terrorist by the United Nations.
Syria has been mired in civil war since 2011, with government forces fighting numerous opposition groups, including the Western-backed allegedly moderate factions, as well as Islamic terrorist groups.
