BEIRUT (Sputnik) — The "regime of silence" in the eastern suburbs of Damascus was extended for additional 24 hours, the Command of the Syrian Armed Forces said in a statement Sunday.
"The established ‘silence regime’ in Damascus and eastern suburbs has been extended for additional 24 hours," the statement reads.
Russia and the United States brokered the regime of silence that would be implemented in the Damascus’ suburbs for 24 hours and in the northern Latakia province for 72 hours starting midnight of April 30.
