MOSCOW (Sputnik) — "Assailant stabbed Israeli man in Jerusalem. Victim moderately injured. Police searching area for attacker," the IDF said on its Twitter account.
Later in the day, media reported, citing police sources that a 60-year-old man was in light-to-moderate condition after being stabbed at 10:15 p.m. local time (19:15 GMT). The unidentified victim fled the crime scene, however the knife had already been found by the law enforcement officers.
Israel has been facing a wave of violence since early September 2015, which has claimed lives of more than 34 Israelis and foreign citizens and injured more than 380, according to the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
