UNITED NATIONS (Sputnik) — The UN Security Council on Tuesday unanimously adopted the resolution condemning the attacks on medical, humanitarian personnel of hospitals in war-torn countries, a RIA Novosti correspondent reported.
The resolution has been prepared by Egypt, Japan, New Zealand, Spain and Uruguay, which are the UNSC non-permanent member states.
The resolution calls on all the parties to armed conflicts to fully comply with the international humanitarian law and to provide the humanitarian personnel with protection.
