Ed Henry, 44, moved to Fox News from CNN in 2011, and is married to Shirley Hung, a former CNN producer, who is now NPR’s deputy Washington editor.
On Wednesday morning, In Touch magazine published an online article detailing Henry’s 10-month affair with a woman named Natalia Lima. The print edition of the magazine will reportedly contain photos and text messages.
“Whenever he was in town, we would pretty much just have sex. He has a really high sex drive,” Lima told In Touch.
Lima claims to have met Henry through social media five years ago, though the relationship did not become sexual until the spring of 2015.
“We recently became aware of Ed’s personal issues and he’s taking some time off to work things out,” a Fox News spokesperson told POLITICO in a statement.
It remains unclear if he was forced to leave Fox News, or if the departure was his own choice.
