MOSCOW (Sputnik) — As many as eight of the suspects were detained in Delhi, while other four were detained in the Uttar Pradesh province, the newspaper reported, adding that bomb-making materials and improvised explosive devices (IED) were found at the disposal of the arrested.
The identity and nationality of the suspects have not been immediately disclosed.
The Jaish-e-Mohammed is an Islamist extremist group which was founded in the early 2000s with an aim to unite the disputed Kashmir region with Pakistan and to expel foreign troops from Afghanistan. Kashmir is geographically divided between three countries — India, Pakistan and China.
