MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to officials from the National Directorate of Security (NDS), 150 people were detained in Parwan province while trying to travel to the country's unstable northern regions.
The agency added that in Kapisa province police forces had detained 40 more suspects, who had tried to hide from law enforcement officers.
Afghanistan is experiencing political, social and security instability, as the Taliban movement and other radical extremist organizations such as Daesh, which is prohibited in many countries, including the United States and Russia, continue to stage attacks against civilian and state targets.
