Back in 1986, Soviet break-dancers organized their first festival in Estonia, then part of the Soviet Union. It was a significant event that kick-started the careers of some current known DJs and rappers.
When the 30th anniversary of the festival was approaching, one of the former break-dancers suggested to make a video, in which all former members of the 1986 festival would be featured showing off their moves.
"We should organize the mob of former break-dancers and make a battle between them and young dancers," said Sergei Tsakul, who came up with the idea of organizing the flashmob, as cited by Ruposters.ru.
The video was published on April 26 and since then has over 340,000 views on YouTube.
