The younger fighter knocked Jeff Monson down and applied a submission hold.
Forty-five-year-old Monson has a record of 59 victories and 26 defeats. His 27-year-old rival won his fifth fight.
In fall 2015, Minnesota-born Jeff Monson was granted Russian citizenship. Earlier in April he expressed a wish to join the Russian Communist Party.
