MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the BBC broadcaster, the police fear that Islamic extremists may be behind the incident which took place in the city of Rajshahi.
The killing comes amid a streak of hackings in the Asian country. Last week, a Hindu tailor was hacked in central Bangladesh. Daesh jihadist group, banned in multiple countries including Russia, claimed responsibility for the attack.
A leading gay rights activist and another man were hacked to death in the capital city of Dhaka last week, with an al-Qaeda affiliate claiming responsibility for the attack.
