MOSCOW (Sputnik) – A settlement of Jebab in the Syrian southwestern province of Daraa received over 3 metric tonnes of humanitarian assistance, the Russian reconciliation center said in an information bulletin published by the Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday.
"Jebab (Daraa province) have received 3.5 tons of humanitarian cargoes basically with food products," the bulletin said, adding that humanitarian convoys are being formed for settlements in Homs and Latakia.
Twenty-two people have received medical assistance, the reconciliation center said.
The center received 52 phone calls from Syrians across the Arab republic congratulating them with May 9 Victory Day over Nazi Germany in World War II.
A US-Russia-brokered ceasefire came into force across Syria on February 27. Islamic State and al-Nusra Front, both outlawed in Russia, were not part of the deal.
