WASHINGTON (Sputnik) – Saudi Arabia’s air force is engaged in a brutal, ongoing war in Yemen while South Korea faces growing tensions with North Korea and the United States is encouraging Australia to build up its armed forces as part of a regional counterbalance to China.
“Raytheon Missile Systems, Tucson, Arizona, has been awarded a $104.5 million… contract for the Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile (AMRAAM) program,” the release stated on Monday.
The work will be performed at Tucson, Arizona, and is expected to be complete by February. 28, 2017, the Defense Department added.
“This contract involves foreign military sales to Korea, Saudi Arabia, Australia and Romania,” the release noted.
