15:35 GMT 11.05.2016 (Updated: 13:46 GMT 05.08.2022) Something rotten in Turkey-EU relations: the European Parliament has suspended its work on granting Turkish citizens visa-free travel to the European Union.
The high-level meeting between Turkish and European officials scheduled on May 13 was also cancelled. Some experts believe it's a sign of insincerity of the two sides in the effort to get closer to each other.
