MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The attack took place at Sadada checkpoint, on territory controlled by the UN-backed unity government, as reported by Libyan news website Alwassat.
Daesh claimed responsibility for the attack.
Libya has been in a state of civil war since May 2014. The United Nations helped to bring about a cease-fire in late 2015 and on March 31 the UN-backed "Unity Government" took office in Tripoli. As of late April 2016, Daesh has been in control of a long strip of Libya's Mediterranean coastline.
