Former Polish Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz said Thursday that a report presented by country's ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party on the work of the previous government, which led the country from 2007 to 2015, is a "slander."

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — On Wednesday, the PiS unveiled a report on activities of the government ruled by the Civic Platform party (PO) and Polish People's Party (PSL). During the report, the representatives of the PiS accused the previous government of misusing some 337 billion zloty ($86.9 billion at the current exchange rates) and hampering the investigation into the 2010 plane crash near Russia’s Smolensk, in which all passengers, including then-Polish President Lech Kaczynski, die.

Kopacz was quoted as saying by the TVN24 channel that the accusations of the PiS are "slander and half-truths."

She added that the first six months of the PiS in power disappointed the Polish citizens, who supported the ruling party at the previous elections, adding that the party had not implemented its election pledges.
