MOSCOW (Sputnik) – According to the minister, the two pieced of debris "are almost certainly from MH370," investigators from the Malaysian International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) confirmed as quoted by The Straits Times on Thursday.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, disappeared from radar screens on March 8, 2014, less than an hour after takeoff. There were 227 passengers and 12 crew members on board the Boeing 777 aircraft.
According to the Malaysian Transport Minister, over 105,000 square kilometers (about 40,500 square miles) have been searched in an effort to find the plane’s wreckage.
