MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Italian counterpart Paolo Gentiloni held a phone talk Friday, discussing bilateral and international matters, including the situation in Libya, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
"The two countries' foreign ministers discussed some issues on the Russian-Italian agenda. They also touched upon current international issues, particularly the situation in Libya and upcoming multilateral contacts to promote settlement among the Libyan parties," the ministry said in a statement.
The phone talk was initiated by the Italian side.
