MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Prime Minister David Cameron and Jeremy Corbyn, the head of the opposition Labour party, will lead separate events in London where they will speak of the benefits of the country’s EU membership.
Head of the Liberal Democrat party Tim Farron and Green Party member Caroline Lucas will reportedly campaign on the issue in Kendal and Brighton, respectively.
The Britain Stronger In Europe lobbying group will host some 1,000 events with some 6,200 campaigners taking part, the media added.
UK nationals are set to vote on June 23 in a referendum on the country's EU membership, after Cameron and the leaders of the 27 EU member states reached a deal in February to grant the United Kingdom a special status within the bloc. The membership campaign officially started in early April.
