Manchester-Bournemouth Match Rescheduled for Tuesday After Bomb Threat
The Manchester United football club will play Bournemouth on Tuesday, May 17, after their Premier League matchup was canceled and the stadium evacuated due to a bomb threat, the club said in a statement Sunday.
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Greater Manchester Police found that, following a controlled explosion of a device described as "incredibly lifelike," the abandoned package at Old Trafford stadium "wasn’t viable."
"We can confirm that today's abandoned fixture between Manchester United and AFC Bournemouth will be played on Tuesday 17 May at 8:00pm," Manchester United said.
