"We had good talks with this opposition, they have interesting ideas on how political reforms should be carried out, how to prepare for work on the new constitution, for elections. They have presented these ideas to UN Special Envoy Staffan de Mistura, unlike the radical opposition, the so-called Riyadh group, which only demands the immediate solution to the problem of [Syrian President Bashar] Assad, and does not want to continue talks without it," Lavrov said in Vienna.
According to the minister, Moscow feels like its US colleagues understand the importance of presence of all the presence of all members of the opposition at negotiations with the government.
"Let’s see how the discussion will go tomorrow at the International Syria Support Group," Lavrov added.
