MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Vladimir Putin has not yet decided if he will attend the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.
"No, I can't confirm that yet. There is a proposal, but a solid decision hasn't been made yet," Peskov told RIA Novosti.
However, earlier this day, local Brazil media reported that the Russian President Vladimir Putin could attend the opening ceremony for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro despite political crisis in the Latin American nation.
