MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Invitations to the next round of intra-Syrian peace talks in Geneva will be sent out by May 25, as mediators have agreed on the necessity of a ceasefire and aid delivery to Syria, a member of the Moscow-Cairo-formed Syrian opposition delegation told Sputnik on Tuesday.
"I expect that invitations to the talks will be sent out on May 23-25. I think that an agreement, which includes Russia, has been reached on the necessity to stop the fighting, deliver humanitarian aid and resolve the issue of those detained. This is a humanitarian issue, it will ease the political process," Firas Khalidi said.
