According to the US Department of Justice, 30-year-old Caleb Andrew Bailey, a Trump delegate, was indicted for illegally shipping explosives and automatic weapons to an unidentified recipient in Wisconsin. Bailey is also accused of using a minor for producing pornography materials over a period of almost a year.
Bailey, who acts as Trump delegate in Charles County, Maryland, faces a maximum of 10 years for the arms shipment and 30 for child pornography.
"We strongly condemn these allegations and leave it in the capable hands of law enforcement. He will be replaced immediately," Trump's campaign representatives told reporters.
This is not the first time Trump chose a delegate poorly. Just one week ago the campaign listed self-proclaimed White Nationalist William Johnson as a delegate in rights-friendly California.
Trump has repeatedly claimed that his qualifications for the White House are based largely on his ability to call on the "great" and "best" to represent and advise him.
