MOSCOW, May 19 (Sputnik) — Brazil’s suspended president Dilma Rousseff said she regarded as surprising the fact that Brazilian media were indulgently covering the interim government's activity.
"It is surprising that media indulgently cover the activity of the interim government and do not criticize it despite various divergences and including quite strange situations," Rousseff told RT broadcaster in an interview.
The 68-year-old has been suspended from office for 180 days, pending the trial.
However, Dilma Rousseff said that she would struggle to return to power.
"There is one thing I want to say: I will struggle every minute, every day, every moment of my live for this [return to the presidential office] to happen," Rousseff told RT broadcaster in her first interview after suspension.
Rousseff added that she was sure that the vast majority of the Brazilian population would support her in this struggle.
