CAIRO (Sputnik) – According to the airline, the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation has received an official letter from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry saying that the wreckage of the plane has been found.
"EGYPTAIR sincerely conveys its deepest sorrow to the families and friends of the passengers onboard Flight MS804. Family members of passengers and crew have been already informed and we extend our deepest sympathies to those affected," a statement on the airline’s website said.
On Thursday, the EgyptAir flight MS804 disappeared from radar screens over the Mediterranean Sea, 10 miles into Egyptian airspace, while en route from Paris to Cairo. According to the airline, a total of 66 people were on board the airplane, including 10 crew members.
