"We found no survivors… Anyone who spreads information about survivors or any other information concerning the plane are playing on the feelings of people," Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Sharif Fathi said at a meeting with relatives of the victims in a hotel near the Cairo airport.
Earlier in the day, spokesman for the Egyptian Armed Forces Mohammad Samir confirmed to Sputnik that the wreckage of crashed EgyptAir flight MS804 had been located in the Mediterranean.
The EgyptAir flight MS804 departed from the Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, France, at 23:09 GMT on Wednesday. The aircraft was heading for the Cairo International Airport. According to the airline, there were a total of 66 people on board the plane, including 56 passengers.
