SOCHI (Sputnik) — Russia and the member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) agreed to boost cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, according to the ASEAN Summit declaration released on Friday.
"Enhance cooperation in combating terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, as well as violent extremism and radicalisation in accordance with the relevant resolutions of the UN Security Council and the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy. To this end, promote moderation to counter extremism as called for by the Global Movement of Moderates," the document reads.
