Moscow: Lavrov Expresses Condolences to Cairo Over EgyptAir Crash

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed his condolences to Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry over the crash of the EgyptAir plane earlier this week, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Saturday.

Egyptian Troops Determine Location of EgyptAir Plane's Flight Recorders
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Lavrov and Shoukry spoke on the phone earlier Saturday.

"Segrei Lavrov expressed his sincerest condolences over the crash of the EgyptAir plane and the death of Egyptian citizens on May 19, 2016," the statement read.

On Thursday, the EgyptAir Airbus A320 plane, carrying a total of 66 people, disappeared from radar screens over the Mediterranean Sea, 10 miles into Egyptian airspace. The plane was headed from Paris to Cairo.
