The control system of Russia's satellite constellation is protected from any outside intervention, and disabling Russian satellites or intercepting control over them is not possible, Russia's Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Center said Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Marchuk said that the Russian satellite constellation consisted of over 130 active space vehicles, with more than 80 percent of them under the center's control.

"The control system is designed in a way to ensure its guaranteed stability and timely fulfillment of all tasks. Interception or disablement of Russia's space vehicle is now out of the question," head of the center Sergei Marchuk said live on Russia's RSN radio station.

The Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Center is part of Russia's Aerospace Forces.
