The participants presented highly intelligent autonomous robots which had to perform several tasks in the category "Robots on the beach."
For instance, robots built "sand castles", collected "shells" and carried out other activities on their own.
The competition was attended by 36 teams from various universities, schools and educational facilities, with the team from Skolkovo Institute ranking first among them.
The next step for the team will be participation in the international stage of 2016 Eurobot, which will take place on June 12 in Paris.
Eurobot is an international amateur robotics competition that welcomes teams of young people interested in the field. The contest takes place in Europe but also accepts participants from other regions.
