WASHINGTON/MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The unmanned craft’s ninth mission will deliver equipment and suppliers, including the first of two international adapters to allow for future dockings by Boeing's CST-100 Starliner and SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft missions transporting astronauts.
"The next SpaceX commercial cargo resupply services mission to the International Space Station [ISS] targeted for launch no earlier than approximately 1:32 a.m. EDT [05:32 GMT] Saturday, July 16," NASA said Monday.
The space freighter will take off from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida atop the private SpaceX company's Falcon 9 rocket.
