According to Politico Playbook, an 8,200-square-foot mansion owned by Joe Lockhart and Giovanna Gray will be the Obamas temporary home after the President leaving office.
Built in 1928, the mansion has nine bedrooms and eight-and-a-half baths. It has a two-car garage as well as a gated courtyard for eight to ten vehicles. The overall cost of the house and grounds, situated in the neighborhood of Kalorama, is valued at some $6,400,000.
The Obamas had stated their intentions to stay in DC previously, as their older daughter Malia will graduate from school this spring.

Joe Lockhart, best known for his turn as White House Press Secretary during the administration of Bill Clinton, moved from Washington to Manhattan after he accepted job with the NFL as executive vice president of communications.
The Obamas own a two-story, 6,199-square-foot house on Greenwood Avenue in Chicago, Illinois.
