PARIS (Sputnik) — French company Alseamar, specializing in deep-water operations and equipment, said Thursday it would take part in the search for black boxes and wreckage from the EgyptAir flight MS804 that crashed over the Mediterranean Sea.
"I can confirm that our company will take part in this operation," an Alseamar spokesperson told RIA Novosti.
On May 19, Cairo-bound EgyptAir flight MS804 from Paris disappeared from radar screens over the Mediterranean Sea, 10 miles into Egyptian airspace. There were 56 passengers and 10 crew members on board.
Egyptian Minister of Civil Aviation Sherif Fathi has confirmed that some debris from the plane and remains have been recovered. The search operation is still underway and involves the naval and air forces of Egypt, France, Greece and the United States.
