Despite that the lease is a perfectly logical move for the family, The Daily Caller and other Conservative outlets are foaming at the mouth that the house is near the Islamic Center of Washington DC.
“The mammoth, multi-million-dollar mansion where President Barack Obama and his family will reportedly live after the first family exits the White House is located 1,096 feet from the Islamic Center of Washington — one of the largest mosques in the Western Hemisphere,” Eric Owens expostulated in the Daily Caller.
He then described the horrors that await the unsuspecting inside the massive mosque.
“The Islamic Center is a tremendous resource for the District’s Muslim community. ‘It provides Qur’an and Islamic Literature and distribution of such publications that would create awareness and knowledge of Islamic Truth,’ according to the center’s website,” Owens wrote, in a panic.
“The Islamic Center in our nation’s capital also provides help for families in need, holds wedding ceremonies, organizes language courses, offers counseling and makes available ample research material related to Islam,” he then helpfully added.
Owen’s shocking revelations turn up the already overbearing heat by the inclusion of useful items, including that the home is close to the embassy of Oman and the former embassy of Iran.
The mansion is owned by Giovanna Gray Lockhart, Glamour magazine’s Washington editor, and her husband Joe Lockhart, founder of the Glover Park Group.
