WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States and Russia have daily phone calls on operations in Syria as part of existing memorandum of understanding (MOU), US Air Forces Central Command Commander Gen. Charles Brown told reporters on Thursday.
“Every other day we have a MOU working group, and so I have a colonel here at my headquarters that talks to his counterpart that sits in Syria,” Brown said. “We do have phone checks every day to make sure that the lines are good.”
