G7 Agrees to Extend Sanctions Against Russia in June
MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Statements by the G7 on tying sanctions against Russia to the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements are “absurd,” Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Friday.

“In regard to this, it needs to be emphasized that these demands on the withdrawal of so-called foreign troops out of Donbas have nothing in common with reality since there are no foreign troops in the territory of Donbas at all. The second demand that is being presented as part of renewing Kiev’s control of the entire border with Russia, which is written in the Mink agreements as the final stage of their fulfillment. So, once again the Group of Seven and its leaders are putting the cart before the horse and ignoring the obvious things that need to be addressed by the Ukrainian authorities because it is they who are not fulfilling the Minsk agreements,” Ryabkov said.

The G7 has decided it will extend sanctions against Russia in June, British Prime Minister David Cameron said Friday.
