According to the statement, Sysoyev won the Grand Prix for the photo of Tunisia's Oussama Mellouli competing in the 10 km open water swimming event at the 16th International Swimming Federation (FINA) World Championships in the Russian city of Kazan.
Pesnya took second place and Filippov won third place for depicting ice dancing competition and basketball match, respectively, the statement added.
The Sportfolio Festival is an international photo contest dedicated to the sports photography. It is the only contest involving professional sports photographers and aims to emphasize the significance of their profession.
