As some 10,000 troops from about a dozen NATO countries launched Saber Strike-2016 military exercises in the Baltic states, many in Europe are not happy about NATO’s growing presence in their countries, RT reported.

Czechs Protest Against Country’s NATO Membership
There have been angry protests in the Czech Republic against the war games which the leader of the Czech Movement for Peace, Milan Krajca, described as a hindrance to European peace and friendship.

“Over the past few years we’ve seen NATO increasingly flexing its muscle in Eastern Europe, in the Balkans, in the Atlantic region and just about anywhere else,” Milan told RT.

“This is a very bad situation. NATO is a hindrance to peace and friendship, just like the Czech Republic’s NATO membership and the alliance’s muscle-flexing,” he added.

Last year NATO tanks rumbled across Germany heading for the Baltic Sea. This year the route is a bit different. There are more than 10,000 troops from 13 countries taking part in the Saber Strike-2016 drill.

They are now in the Czech Republic and they have 17 days to proceed from Germany to Estonia across the territories of several other NATO countries.

Just like in the Czech Republic, many in Montenegro are equally angered by NATO’s grandstanding with thousands taking to the streets in Podgorica to vent their anger over the country’s leader’s desire to join the alliance.
