GUANTANAMO (Sputnik), Joanne Stocker — Two Guantanamo detainees, including torture victim Abu Zubaydah, will testify at a US military commission this week about vibrations and noises alleged 9/11 plotter Ramzi bin al Shibh claims to have experienced from his cell in Guantanamo’s secretive Camp 7, al Shibh’s lawyer Jim Harrington told reporters ahead of Monday’s hearings at the island detention center.
Harrington explained that the witnesses will testify to experiencing different but related intrusive sensations.
"They both have experiences in the camp that are relevant to what Ramzi has experienced," Harrington stated on Sunday. "They have different experiences to each other but they compliment what he has said."
Al Shibh has disrupted previous court hearings with complaints about the vibrations.
Harrington said al Shibh experienced the vibrations as recently as two days earlier.
Additionally, the defense team alleges that they are being caused by somebody inside the camp, Harrington explained.
In 2014, the European Court of Human Rights ordered the government of Poland to pay Zubaydah 100,000 euros ($111,000) in damages for allowing the US Central Intelligence Agency to torture him on Polish soil.
