MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian nuclear fuel company TVEL, part of Rosatom, plans to take over 10 percent of nuclear fuel deliveries to US nuclear power plants, the firm's Vice President Oleg Grigoryev said Monday.
"We are positively assessing our chances, seeing good prospects. We expect that the share of commercial supplies [of the TVEL fuel] will be more than 10 percent of the US fuel market," Grigoryev said at the Atomexpo-2016 forum.
On Thursday the TVEL company confirmed the signing of an agreement with the US Global Nuclear Fuel-Americas (GNF-A, subsidiary of GE-Hitachi) on cooperation in licensing, marketing and fabrication of fuel for Pressurized Water Reactors (PWRs) in the United States.
