KIEV (Sputnik) — Earlier, a document that was said to be a "text of Memorandum with the IMF" was published online. According to the document, the conditions necessary for the IMF financial aid will involve increase of the retirement age in the country as well as higher tariffs for heating and gas.
"Once again the populists are making attempts by using different methods to disrupt the negotiations between Ukraine and the International Monetary Fund, in order to exacerbate the socio-political situation in the country. This time it is a publication of the so-called 'text of Memorandum with the IMF'… Final text of the Memorandum does not exist. Negotiations on the final text of the Memorandum are still in process," the ministry said.
According to the ministry's statement, the text of the memorandum would only be published on the official website of the Ministry of Finance after the signing of the document which is expected within this month.
On March 11, the IMF approved a program of financial aid to Ukraine, which stipulates a $17.5-billion loan over the next four years. The Ukrainian government has to implement new economic policies for the IMF to disburse the funds.
